ABSTRACT

Turay Ti Dios, Pamathalaan or Sacred Prophetic Politics In the Filipino Earth Charter
 Dr. Consolacion R. Alaras,  University of the Philippines; with Dr. Virginia Malicdem, Pangasinan State University;  Dr. Luz Ortega Bolong;  Sea and Sky College; and Dr. Nicanor Austriaco,  Angeles Foundation University

This presentation is based on a video production conceptualized by Dr. Consolacion R. Alaras  for the NAKEM Conference in Hawai`i. The other co-presentors developed and realized the concept and script.

The video concept and script revolves on the pilgrimage or  Pamamathala of the folk ancestral spiritual group in Rosario, La Union called Kaamaamahan Kainainahan – which, loosely translated, means of the Ancestral Fatherhood, Ancestral Motherhood.

Every Pamamathala of this folk ancestral group unfolds moments in  our Philippine history.

Every Pamamathala of this folk ancestral group is a cry for the prophetic destiny of the Philippines.

Every Pamamathala of this folk ancestral group is a cry to enshrine the downtrodden, the disempowered, the dispossessed.

Every Pamamathala of this folk ancestral group is to recover the moral, sacred, ancestral and heroic foundations of our Filipino Civilization, as embodied by the vision of Dr. Jose Rizal and the Katipunan.

Every Pamamathala of this folk ancestral group is to build the Ark of the Covenant Dambana ng Bayan  -- the National and Global Structure to realize the Filipino Earth Charter for the International People’s Earth Charter – as the defining Charter of the 21st Century – to transform the Earth Planet into a Caring Home and Caring Community. The Philippine Ark of the Covenant Dambana ng Bayan will distinguish the Philippines, just like America’s Statue of Liberty, France Eiffel Tower, China’s Great Wall, etc.

Every Pamamathala of this folk ancestral group is to validate the three world studies indicating that the Philippines tops the list of countries in terms of values and spirituality.
