ABSTRACT

This workshop focuses on testing in a language program and targets language teachers as participants.  Teachers will have the opportunity to experience the testing environment that we put our students into every time we give them a test.  They will share and discuss their reactions to the different testing situations and formats, and reflect on the testing practice in foreign, second, and heritage language teaching.  The workshop aims to demonstrate critical classroom testing practices and their effects on students and their performance, and to provide insights as to how ‘testing for best’ could be achieved.
